Walking and Hiking tours

Boat Hire

Located at the crossings of Kosciuszko and Thredbo in Jindabyne’s Snowline Caravan Park, Snowline Boat Hire provides open and half-cabin fishing boats that have 9.9 hp motors, rod holders, 2-way radios, and can accommodate five or six people. What will certainly be the best fishing boat on the lake, a 5-meter Marlin Broadbill deluxe fishing boat is also available. Water skiing can be hired out with our experienced driver, with all equipment supplied, allowing anyone be him or her 8 or 80 years old to participate. You might also choose to rent a paddle boat, Canuck-style canoe, or an aqua bike. In stock are also a wide-range of tacking, lures, and live bait. After the fishing, visit the tennis court that is equipped with lighting and a super grass flooring.

Kosciuszko Walk
|
One of the must-do outings here in the mountains is a trek to Mt. Kosciuszko, which can be done from the top of the chairlift at Thredbo or Charlottes pass. The return distance is approximately 14 kilometers, making it a reasonable trip for most healthy people. Be sure to keep an eye on the weather and pack appropriate clothing though, since the weather is liable to change quickly and without warning.

Wildlife

There is a considerable population of Eastern Grey kangaroos at Silvertop in addition to many echidnas, hairy-nosed wombats, and Bennett’s wallabies. Sometimes people even see emus and brumbies on occasion. The Kosciuszko National Park is very nearby so you will definitely get the chance for all kinds of “wild” life excitement. The park staff is also very happy to be of service to you.
